work-life

At Haiken, we were recently part of an exciting project in London for Work. Life Rivington House. The challenge was to create a bold yet contemporary co-working environment that not only was functional, but also striking. This was to be achieved by similarly capturing Work Life’s ethos, design intentions, whilst reflecting the local surrounding area and its artistic heritage.

We Are Two designers did a brilliant job transforming Work. Life’s space into a functional co-working environment to suit this post-pandemic world. They created private offices that varied in size and hot desking options including railway booths, banquette booths, and standard hot table desking. ‘Zoom rooms’ and 1P call booths were also introduced with bold paint colours and raw metal textures incorporated in order to create a contemporary and modern industrial space. We Are Two also got creative with the lower ground floor by using an array of alcoves with glazed ceiling areas, featuring informal and formal banquette seating booths.

But that’s not all. Can you spot a familiar furniture piece lurking in the photographs of the design? That’s right – our Lasdun task seating appears in the “In n’out” meeting rooms! The Lasdun is lightweight and a true multi-tasker as it delivers in adaptability and can be used as a task or meeting chair. With a focus on being incredibly comfortable, the upholstery material of the Lasdun is a specially selected ‘tech’ mesh that offers optimal support and ease of movement ensuring the user remains comfortably seated throughout.

We think the Lasdun fits in perfectly within Work Life’s new interior design that does well to reflect the local history of bold graffiti art.
